sit in a studio and get paid a
single rate to knock out tracks.
For the musician it was what we
call a "work for hire" deal.
For the writer it is in the
hopes that it gets used and they
would keep the publishing and
writers.
Selling your beat today has many
different faces. There are
many was to negotiate a deal for
your beat payment.
In

the ways you can work out a deal
when selling your beat.
But it's not the end all.
You can be real creative about
selling your beats.
But many say that this is a fad
and it will soon fade. I don't
believe that it is. But
what is happening is that there
are so many beat makers is that
the market is flooded.
A
direct result of that is you
find that beat makers are giving
away tracks just get placed for
creds. Actually, if you're
a newbie I suggest trying that
so you can get some legs in the
biz.
